We're Like Two Peas in a Pod

The words “Automotive Industry” and “Auburn Hills” go together like two peas in a pod.
Since we are home to both Chrysler Group, LLC’s Headquarters and Technical Center and Volkswagen Group of America’s R&D and Administrative Offices, it has become a natural fit for automotive part suppliers to want to locate in our community.
So, it was not surprising to read in Crain’s Detroit Business recently that 7 out of the Top 25 Largest Automotive Parts Suppliers (North American sales) are headquartered right here in the City of Auburn Hills.
Here are those companies listed, which are some of our largest employers:
No. 6: Borg Warner -3850 Hamlin – Engine and drivetrain systems and associated components
No. 7: Continential Automotive Systems US Inc. – 1 Continental Drive – Tires, stability management, electronic chassis, and brake systems
No. 10: Faurecia North America – 2500 Executive Hills Boulevard – Automotive seating, emissions control technologies, interior systems, and automotive exteriors
No. 11: GKN Driveline North America, Inc. – 3300 University Drive – Constant velocity joints, all-wheel drive, eDrive systems, and transaxle parts
No. 17: TI Automotive – 1272 Doris Road – Automotive fluid storage, carrying, and delivery technology
No. 22: Autoliv Americas Group – 1320 Pacific Drive – Airbags, inflators, seat belts, electronics, and steering wheels
No. 25: Bentler Automotive – 2650B N. Opdyke Road – Chassis systems, engine, exhaust, and body structure products
As you can see, the automotive industry is a big part of our DNA. We’re inseparable.
