Police Officer
- Lateral transfer starting pay based on experience
- 2026 top base pay $96,616 (includes 80-hour annual holiday check)
- 2027 top base pay $99,036 (includes 80-hour annual holiday check)
- Overtime opportunities available
- Three years to top pay
- Unused sick time payout after three years up to 96 hours per year (additional $4,294 at top pay in 2026)
- Generous 401k and 457 Plans
- Employer Contribution 16% with 4% Employee Contribution
- Additional Employer Longevity Contribution of 1% to the 457 plan at 10 years of service and 20 years of service
- Rotating 12-hour shifts with every other weekend off
- External vests/all uniforms and equipment provided

- Specialty assignments include: School Resource Officer, Court Officer, Community Engagement Officer, Narcotics Enforcement Team, Special Investigations Unit, FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, K9 Unit, Oakland County SWAT Team, Human Trafficking Task Force
- Patrol Specialties: Field Training Officer, Honor Guard, Evidence Technician, Drug Recognition Expert, Drone Team, Southern Oakland County Crash Investigation Team (SOCCIT), Bicycle Unit, OakTac Mobile Field Force, Use of Force Instruction Team, Emergency Vehicle Operations Instruction Team
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice or a related field
- U.S. Citizen
- Able to successfully complete a Police Academy or be currently licensed as a Police Officer
Police Cadet
- Assisting patrol with service tasks
- Front desk duties and lobby calls
- Administrative tasks
- Parking violations

Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older
- Must have an interest in a career in law enforcement

- Willing to work 20 hours per week
