Tricks, Treats & Downtown Beats: October in Downtown Auburn Hills
Posted on: September 29, 2025
There’s something magical about fall in a downtown - the crisp air, golden leaves drifting down streets lined with street lights, and the hum of festivals, music, food, and community gatherings. The mums are planted, the pumpkins are glowing, and the ghosts are just beginning to wake up… which can only mean one thing: Halloween is creeping closer, and downtown is the place to be! We’re brewing up three family events that are guaranteed to thrill, chill, and fill your October with frightfully fun memories. Mark your calendars. You don’t want to miss all the spooky fun!
- The first event is Halloween Movie Night, scheduled for Friday, October 3, starting at dusk. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs for a free outdoor screening of The Addams Family 2.
- The second and newest event, the Graveyard Get Down, will take place on Friday, October 10, at 7:00 PM. Join us as we transform our new public square into a haunted graveyard and dance the night away.
- Our third and most popular event, Spooktacular, will take place on October 25, starting at noon. Join the DDA and the downtown merchants for costumes, candy and kid-friendly fun!
Presented by the Auburn Hills Downtown Development Authority, these events are designed to bring the community together for a celebration of fall, fright, and fantastic costumes. Whether you're looking to dance with the undead or snuggle up for a spooky movie under the stars, there's something for everyone. Please check our website for more information.
