J.A.R. Development Company has submitted a development application to the City of Auburn Hills for Special Land Use Permit approval to allow the overnight outside storage of trucks on property located behind the building they are currently constructing near the southeast corner of Joslyn Road and Pacific Drive.
The land is situated within the former Kmart parking lot between the BP gas station and Inalfa Roof Systems
J.A.R. is the process of securing a corporate headquarters for the facility. The new tenant will need to store several trucks in the parking lot, as shown on the diagram below.
The trucks stored would primarily be utilized for testing purposes. Upon learning of this need, J.A.R. has worked with City staff to select the proposed storage location as it is well screened from view.
Those interested in learning more about this proposal are encouraged to attend the Planning Commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday, January 10th at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber at City Hall. A final decision on the project is anticipated at the City Council meeting scheduled for Monday, January 22nd.
