As part of the City’s retention strategy for economic development, we go out and visit our corporate citizens to get to know them better and ask them how things are going. From time to time, our team leaves one of these meetings thinking, how did we not know about this company sooner?
This was definitely the case with our first meeting with Lucerne International. CEO, Mary Buchzeiger, has an energy and passion for the automotive industry and her drive to be the best is apparent in the way she runs the company.

Lucerne International, founded in Oakland County in 1993, provides cast, stamped and forged components and assemblies to the automotive and heavy truck industries. A nationally certified Women’s Owned Business Enterprise, Lucerne International meets clients’ production companies’ need for diversified spending.
Last week we celebrated the grand opening of Lucerne International, located at 40 Corporate Drive. Our Mayor Pro Tem VeRonica Mitchell and our City Manager Tom Tanghe delivered remarks to the crowd. Mary’s family, friends, employees and customers were on hand to celebrate this momentous occasion.
We are so happy to welcome them to our community and wish them continued success!
