In 2014, we worked hard to create opportunities for residents, community leaders, and business representatives to share their solutions to create a community that is an ideal place for people of any age. This included our seven Community Conversations, Focus Groups, a city survey, and a Business Roundtable.
Now that we have collected that information, we are ready to begin writing our Age-Friendly Action Plan. But we can’t do that without you! Residents are an important part of planning for the future, and we want you to share what we’ve learned with you and identify together what the next steps should be.
Volunteers who are interested in participating will meet at the Auburn Hills Community Center on the following dates from 2-4 PM.
Tuesday, February 17 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Tuesday, March 3 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Tuesday, March 10 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
If you are interested in working to make Auburn Hills a better place to live, work, play, and age, sign up today by calling the Community Center at 248-370-9353 or Senior Services Director Karen Adcock at [email protected] by February 13 to reserve your spot.
