Congratulations Jackie Monroy Krieg, Director of Senior Services
Posted on: April 30, 2026
Last night, several City staff had the opportunity to join Senior Services Director Jackie Monroy-Krieg as she was honored at the Auburn Hills Chamber of Commerce Tomorrow’s 20 Awards.

The Tomorrow’s 20 recognizes individuals between the ages of 21 and 40 who are making a meaningful impact in their professions and communities. Honorees demonstrate excellence in one or more key areas, including community influence through volunteerism, leadership and excellence in the workplace, and forward-thinking innovation in business. Candidates are nominated, and a selection committee carefully reviews submissions to identify the top twenty awardees.
Jackie was nominated by City Manager Tom Tanghe and former Director of Recreation and Senior Services, Karen Adcock. Although early in her tenure as Director of Senior Services, Jackie has already demonstrated a level of drive, purpose, and professional growth that often takes years to achieve. She brings genuine passion and compassion to her work with older adults, and her infectious smile puts people instantly at ease. Jackie has played an important role in expanding programs and services that support seniors in our community.
Jackie was promoted to Director of Senior Services following the retirement of former Director of Recreation and Senior Services, Karen Adcock, last October. Among her many accomplishments, Jackie has received the Michigan Association of Senior Centers Young Professional Award and recently earned her Master of Public Health from Oakland University.
We are incredibly proud of Jackie and look forward to her continued professional growth with the City of Auburn Hills as she leads a strong department dedicated to helping older adults thrive in a community for all.
Karen Adcock, Senior Services Advisor
