Celebrating Longtime Businesses – Spargo’s Restaurant

Posted on: July 2, 2026

I was having a breakfast meeting with a corporate executive this week at Spargo’s and realized how many times over the years I’ve had important breakfast and lunch meetings in this restaurant over my 25 years with the City of Auburn Hills. It got me thinking about how much we love to celebrate new businesses coming into the city, but we often forget about those that have been loyal business owners in the city who have been providing great service to the Auburn Hills community for many years. Spargo’s has been in business for 29 years here in the city, and owner Nick Lulgjuraj is not some absentee owner. You see him in the restaurant nearly every day, making sure the customer experience is the best it can be. His wait staff is excellent as well as his food. And the interior of the restaurant is beautifully modern and very clean. And the food is consistently very good. I’ve never once had anything less than a good meal. While I’ve typically gone to Spargo’s for its breakfast menu, the lunch menu is equally great with a variety of items that are fresh, delicious, and affordable. Spargo’s is in a great location and easy to get to, located at 2767 University Drive, just east of the University Drive / I-75 diverging diamond interchange (Exit 79). You can easily get to it from just about anywhere in Auburn Hills in ten minutes or less.

Thank you, Nick, for 29 years in Auburn Hills. Your restaurant is a reminder that we need to celebrate those that have successfully operated here in the city for many years and have been a part of the very fabric of what makes Auburn Hills a great place to live, do business, and visit. If you’ve never dined at Spargo’s, you really should give it a try. If you have, you likely have the same appreciation for the restaurant that I do. You can also check them out at spargosconey.com.
