BorgWarner Expands Its Presence

We’re pleased to report that construction is underway on the three-story, 46,555 sq. ft. office addition and parking lot expansion at BorgWarner’s Powertrain Technical Center (PTC) located at 3800 Automation Avenue. Project completion is anticipated by late Spring 2015.
The $9.4 million investment will allow BorgWarner, a global Tier-1 automotive supplier, to hire at least 120 additional people with plans to bring their total employee count to just under 700 at this site. The company’s world headquarters is also located in the City of Auburn Hills at 3850 W. Hamlin Road.
This development is one of many construction projects the City’s building, fire, and civil engineering staff inspect (often many times daily) for safety and quality. As you can probably imagine, the City’s inspectors must be very knowledgeable to handle jobs of this complexity. They’re always busy.
