Autoliv To Expand Parking To Facilitate Growth

Swedish-based Autoliv has submitted plans to construct a parking lot expansion containing 124 new parking spaces in the rear of their North American headquarters located at 1320 Pacific Drive.  The new parking will increase the number of spaces at the site to 589.  The additional parking is needed to accommodate Autoliv’s growing business.

Autoliv is a Fortune 500 company and one of the world’s largest automotive safety suppliers of airbags, seatbelts, steering wheels, passive safety electronics and active safety systems.  Total investment in this project is estimated at $1 million.  Construction is expected to begin this summer with completion before the end of the year.

Those interested in learning more about this proposal are encouraged to attend the Planning Commission meeting scheduled for tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall.  A final decision on the application is anticipated to be made by the City Council on Monday, June 26th.
