In the shadow of The Palace of Auburn Hills is a new restaurant that hopes to be your destination before and after Detroit Pistons’ basketball games and concerts. The place is called the The Venue Bar and Grille and it’s located at 3880 Lapeer Road.
Like the old saying goes … “when a door closes, a new one opens.” The restaurant was recently purchased and re-opened after the closure of The Post Bar. A down economy led to the closure of The Post Bar franchise and its half-dozen sites in the metro-Detroit area. The Marselis Family has revamped the menu and taken the restaurant to an all new level specializing in American cuisine.
In addition to before and after Palace events, check out “The Venue” for lunch, happy hour, and dinner anytime Monday thru Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. They have an extensive selection of imported and domestic beers, as well as a collection of wines. We expect that they will become well-known for their Brick Oven Pizzas, New York Strip with Zip Sauce, and Angus Burgers. My son really liked their Cajun Maccaroni and Cheese.
Expect to see “The Venue” become a pretty popular place come basketball season, which is great for the City of Auburn Hills.
