A Donation You Can Trust Making

As the year comes to a close, many people are thinking about charitable giving. Sadly, there are so many scams out there that some people are too nervous to donate for fear it will not end up being used for what they had intended.

The Auburn Hills Community Foundation is our community’s local charity, with the motto of “Charity Begins at Home.” Why is that important? Because all our funds are verified to go back into the Auburn Hills community, providing programs and serving the needs of those who need it most. The board of directors is made up of volunteer local leaders who are residents and/or business professionals. No one is paid and at least 95% of your donation is invested in programs and services right here in Auburn Hills. Examples of areas that are funded are: emergency food assistance, job counseling, transportation for seniors, emergency short-term rent assistance, short-term utility shut-off prevention, assistance to seniors for guidance on a multitude of aging matters, and other worthwhile programs and services to directly assist our residents. Most programs require qualification to make sure that only those truly in need are served.
