National Fire Prevention Week

Posted on: October 10, 2022

This year marks the 100-year anniversary of Fire Prevention Week! Help us observe Fire Prevention Week by learning more about fire safety and committing to this year’s theme: “Fire won’t wait. Plan your escape.” Every household should practice fire prevention, especially those with young children. Use the checklist below to make a home fire escape plan, and then pledge to practice the plan twice a year. Households should identify a meeting place outside of the home, and every individual should know two ways exit every room. Don’t forget to test your smoke alarms! A few minutes spent on fire prevention can go a long way toward maximizing safety and minimizing potential tragedies.
