WHAT TO KNOW FOR ELECTION DAY

Posted on: November 1, 2019

The City Election will be held on Tuesday, November 5th

Here is what you need to know:

What’s on the ballot? You will be voting for City Council Members, Library Board Members and an Oakland Community College Millage Renewal Proposal.  Voters in the Rochester Community School District will also vote on a School Millage Proposal.   Sample ballots are available at www.auburnhills.org/sampleballot.
Where do I vote? Log on to www.michigan.gov/vote to confirm that you are registered to vote and the location of your precinct.
When can I go vote? The Polls will be open from 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
If you prefer to vote by absentee ballot, please read below.

How do I get an absentee ballot? Michigan Election Law now allows for no reason absentee voting.  What this means is that all voters can
request an absentee ballot without providing a reason.

Visit the Clerk’s Office to pick up an absentee ballot.  We will be open on Saturday, November 1st
from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.  (Note:  Absentee ballots can only be issued until
4:00 PM on Monday, November 4th to currently registered voters.)

I am not currently registered to vote.  How do I register? Michigan Election Law now allows for same day voter registration.  Visit www.auburnhills.org/vote for additional information.
The Election Inspectors working at my precinct are awesome!  How do I sign up to work at the next election?   We will need additional election inspectors for the busy 2020 elections.  Visit www.auburnhills.org/electioninspector to download an application form.

If you have any
additional questions, feel free to reach out to the Clerk’s Office:
