“Get your motor running, head out on the highway …” so says Steppenwolf in their immortal song Born to be Wild. If a wild motorcycle is what you need to get your motor running, one of Auburn Hills’ newest and most unique businesses might be what you’re looking for. Voodoo Choppers at 2720 Auburn Road is the home of custom made, one-of-a-kind motorcycles.
Eric Gorges – owner, proprietor, salesman, and motorcycle guru – creates hand built choppers from scratch. We’re talking frames, tanks, controls, exhausts, every component made from raw materials. Eric pretty much builds the individual bikes solo with the assistance of a collection of outside mechanics, artists, and chopper aficionados.
There’s also a handmade kid’s tricycle complete with go-cart rear wheels. None of these bikes can be duplicated, which guarantees the most individual choppers available.
If you are in the market for a custom chopper, customizing your existing bike, or just want to meet an amazing craftsman in his unique shop, stop by Voodoo Choppers. You won’t have to ask for Eric, he’ll meet you at the door.
Even the service is one-of-a-kind.
