You know you want to do this!
Come join the Clinton River Watershed Council (CRWC) as we search for the elusive winter Stonefly.
These aquatic insects are most active during colder months and their presence in the Clinton River indicates good water quality. So, the CRWC will be conducting their annual “Stonefly Search” on Saturday, January 26th.
Volunteers from around the watershed will be meeting at 10:00 a.m. at the CRWC offices, which are located at 1115 West Avon Road in Rochester Hills. Folks will then disperse to various sites around the watershed to look for these tiny six-legged creatures. The event, which ends at 2:00 p.m., will take place regardless of the weather, so dress warmly if you’re interested in joining in the quest.

Hot beverages and lunch will be provided. Please register in advance by calling 248-601-0606 or e-mail [email protected]. All are welcome. It’s always fun!
