The New "In" Thing for Government

For years, taxpayers have been asking municipalities and school districts for transparency in how they do business.  Governor Snyder heard them and put a policy in front of the legislature that requires these agencies to provide more “openness” in order to receive revenue sharing payments.

Auburn Hills-based Munetrix, located at 3297 Five Points Drive, is helping governments benchmark and be more transparent, so that they can be fiscally responsible for planned and unplanned occurrences.  Many have signed on, like the City of Auburn Hills.

How do they do it?  Munetrix inputs data in a format for web-based IT Management systems and outputs benchmarks based on historical data.  It not only gives the governmental agencies a way to be transparent, but serves as a planning tool for budgeting – not just for one year, but for several.  This offers solutions based on real data and projections to their problems (or their escaped problems, if the agency took action proactively).
