Fishing for Something to Do?

Auburn Hills is home to numerous “destination retailers” due to its prime location.  Bass Pro Shops – Outdoor World at Great Lakes Crossing Outlets is one of my favorites.   It is more than a store, it is an experience.

My family loves to camp and we often buy our supplies at Bass Pro Shops.  When my little boy comes with me to the store, he always wants to check out the giant fish tank and the taxidermy stuffed wild animals.  They are like kid magnets!

Well, now would be a fun time for folks to visit the store.   Their annual Spring Fishing Classic event is underway.   The big draw this weekend is BASSMaster University, which is a free seminar given by some of the biggest names in fishing.

As part of this exciting event, some activities will occur outside the store in the mall parking lot.  A special permit is required by the City, but no red tape is involved in the process.

Our goal is to work side-by-side with Bass Pro Shops to make sure things go off without a hitch.  We look at things that the average person never thinks about.  Such as:  What will happen if a severe storm occurs?  How will refuse disposal be handled?   Will the tents be erected correctly and fire retardant?   How will traffic circulate around the event area?  … and many more considerations.   You can trust that the program will be well-planned and safe.
