Reservation Made: $14 Million Hotel Development Proposed

An application has been submitted to the City of Auburn Hills to allow the construction of a Staybridge Suites Hotel and Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hotel on a 4.6 acre site located at 907 N. Opdyke Road.

Basil Bacall and his brother Mike currently operate four hotels within the City. Upon completion of these two additional hotels, their developments will total 534 rooms and approximately $30 million in capital investment.
Those interested in learning more about this proposal are encouraged to attend the public hearing at the Planning Commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 16th at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall. A final decision on the project is anticipated to be made by the City Council on Monday, March 28th.
Construction on the $14 million development is expected to begin this Spring.
