New Residential Construction Soars

Residential construction is on the rebound in Auburn Hills!

The City has seen more new housing starts this year than in the previous five years combined.  A wonderful success story in this renaissance is the Auburn Grove neighborhood, located north of Shimmons Road, west of Squirrel Road.

Twelve new condominium units are now under construction in this neighborhood with four new building permit submittals in the Community Development Department for review.

A look back at the history of this neighborhood, provided almost two years ago in this blog, shows that this new growth was anticipated, planned for, and now a welcomed sign of Michigan’s economic recovery.
