Since the City of Auburn Hills has been very proactive in preparing for the fueling needs of alternative energy vehicles (most notably plug-in electric vehicles), we are often asked to make presentations to various groups about our experiences.

Well, yesterday we had another chance to tell the “Auburn Hills Story” at the Charging Infrastructure Expo held at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi.  Ron Melchert, Director of Public Services was asked by our partners at the Clean Energy Coalition to participate in a session called Electric Vehicle Fleets:  Successful Deployments, Challenges, and Lessons Learned.  Ron was joined by representatives from Consumer Energy and Western Michigan University.

Ron Melchert talking about the City of Auburn Hills at the Charging Infrastructure Expo yesterday

Ron made us proud.  He eloquently explained to the audience how the City of Auburn Hills has partnered over the past 19 months with others to advance plug-in electric vehicle infrastructure preparedness throughout the State of Michigan and the nation.  He was electrifying!
