FANUC Continues to Grow in Auburn Hills

Posted on: January 8, 2024

As a community, it’s great to be known for a number of good things.  One of our more noteworthy “good things,” or in this case, “great things,” is that we have the largest manufacturer of robots in the world right here in Auburn Hills, and what we believe to be the largest amount of square footage of robotics of any other city in the United States.  FANUC America Corporation has its North America HQ on Hamlin Road with part of the building in Rochester Hills and part of it in Auburn Hills.  Additionally, FANUC has built what is known as North Campus in Auburn Hills and currently has West Campus under construction, also in Auburn Hills.  In all, FANUC will have a footprint in our community of around 1.5 million square feet.

On January 5, 2024, Mayor Brian Marzolf and City Manager Tom Tanghe toured the headquarters facility to learn about this amazing technology and what it is capable of doing in terms of advancing our modern economy.  The facility is a playground for robotics enthusiasts.

One of the most encouraging things about working with robotics is that there are many opportunities to earn training certificates and degrees that can help you to secure a well-paying job within a couple of years.  And when you complete these programs, you’ll be in-demand earning a good income without the potential of tens of thousands of dollars in college debt.  The work is exciting and important, and the FANUC environment is outstanding.  Whether you are a high school student seeking an exciting career, or someone looking to make a change from what you are doing now, there are opportunities to be considered.  FANUC has numerous partnerships with area public schools, community colleges, and universities, and they are always seeking individuals who are interested in a career with their company.  They have a robust educational program that can be explored by visiting FANUC online.
