Cantina El Dorado Has Arrived

I had the good fortune of attending the soft opening of our newest downtown Auburn Hills restaurant on Wednesday night, along with the Mayor and every member of the City Council.  The restaurant officially opened the next morning at 11:00 a.m.  The food and atmosphere of Cantina El Dorado is outstanding and has some really great energy.  This is a long-awaited addition to our downtown.  In 2009, the city commissioned a study, asking our residents what things they most wanted to see in our downtown.  The number one answer was a Mexican restaurant.  Yes, here we are, fifteen years later, and it’s finally arrived.  Hey, no comments about the speed of government.  But if I can put a positive spin on this, I’ll just say that good things come to those who wait. 

A visit to Cantina El Dorado is more than the enjoyment of the food.  Details such as the murals on the walls, the high-end bar, the beautifully finished floors, and several large-screen televisions all add to the experience of the restaurant.
