Auburn Hills Firefighters Helping Hands
Posted on: August 27, 2026
Unexpected emergencies can happen to anyone, leaving families in critical need of support. The Auburn Hills Firefighters Helping Hands is a volunteer organization comprised of local firefighters and staff dedicated to supporting our community through fundraising and direct aid.
Following a disaster such as a house fire, Helping Hands provides immediate relief that might look like temporary hotel lodging, food, or basic necessities, giving displaced residents time to stabilize and plan their next steps. Established in 1944 when Auburn Hills was known as Pontiac Township, the organization has assisted several hundreds of families over the decades.
Operating as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit run entirely by a volunteer board, 100% of donations go directly toward community services, and all contributions are tax-deductible.
Auburn Hills Helping Hands just launched a merchandise fundraiser. Purchase a Helping Hands T-shirt or hoodie by visiting crewcloset.com/helpinghandspublic between now and October 1. Every item purchased includes a $5 donation to the organization.
Visit ahhelpinghands.org for more information or reach out to our fire department at (248) 370-9461 for ways to support the cause.
