New Mayor Leads City Council Into 2026

It’s hard to believe that the election for City Council was nearly two months ago already. And here we are, on the doorstep of 2026. Your City Council is ready to take on the challenges of a new year. Under the leadership of the newly elected mayor, Eugene Hawkins III, City Council will pursue its 2026 goals for the community which always include great service delivery to our residents and businesses, investment in our infratructure, and fiscal responsibility. Like the City Council, the staff, led by City Manager Tom Tanghe, is committed to a high level of service with a focus on continuous investment in the community so that it remains a great place to live, work, and visit.
