The Butler Road project transforms what was previously a gravel section into a smooth, modern, and durable roadway. The improvement provides better access for residents, businesses, and emergency services, while supporting ongoing economic development in the area. The road project fulfills a commitment made to residents back in the 1970s, when the community was Pontiac Township, to pave all the roads utilizing additional funding support from the residents at that time.
In addition to celebrating the paving of Butler Road, City Officials unveiled a memorial street sign in honor of the late Glenn McIntosh, a longtime Vice President of Student Affairs at Oakland University in Auburn Hills. Glenn’s family, colleagues and friends joined us to celebrate and remember his legacy.
