40th Anniversary Recognition

We appreciated being visited last night by our State Senator, Jeremy Moss, and State Representative, Donni Steele, as they co-presented a tribute to the City for the celebration of our 40^th anniversary.  Citing our forty years of progress and prosperity, both Legislators took the time to acknowledge this milestone anniversary.  The tribute was also from State Representative Carter who represents a small portion of our community.  Our official date of incorporation as a city was December 31, 1983, and the city had a number of events leading up to December.  Events included a golf outing, concert at Riverside Park, the Ruby Gala, and the distribution of 40^th anniversary gifts to our residents as they visited City Hall.  We are thankful to members of our corporate community that generously underwrote the costs of all these items. 

On January 1, 2024, we proudly began our 41^st year and we look forward to continuing to serve our residents, businesses, and visitors alike, with great public service.
