Driven by Excellence

I would like to take a moment to spot light a team of highly skilled, dedicated and extremely driven individuals. The Municipal Properties division of the Department of Public Works plays a critical role in maintaining city owned properties and infrastructure.

The broad scope of work that this department executes on a daily basis is truly incredible. From plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and electrical, the skill and talent of this team is seemingly endless. Because of their wide range of knowledge and experience in the field of construction, Municipal Properties is able to skillfully carry out everything from routine maintenance to new construction projects from conception to completion.

Municipal Properties also assumes the responsibility of First Responders. There can be as many as 10 street light poles that are knocked down by vehicle accidents in a given year. These accidents create very dangerous situations when the high voltage wires from the damaged street lights are exposed. No matter the weather conditions or time of day, the electricians of Municipal Properties are called to make the repairs necessary to ensure the safety of the public.

Just a few of the many other emergency calls that are the responsibility of Municipal Properties include, plumbing, HVAC and fire suppression repairs.

There are three qualities that embody the driving force behind this department. Customer service, efficiency and quality workmanship are values embraced by every member of this team.
