A development application has been submitted by Sam Stafa, representing Tollbrook Auburn, LLC, to the City of Auburn Hills for Planned Unit Development Option approval of a mixed-use development called Trailway Commons. The 5.5-acre site is located at the northwest corner of Auburn Road and Adams Road, near the Clinton River Trail.
Trailway Commons is proposed to consist of a restaurant with a drive-thru and outside seating, a commercial/medical office building and a residential condominium complex totaling 29 units. If approved, construction is anticipated to begin later this year. The overall cost of the project is estimated at $12 million.
Those interested in learning more about this proposal are encouraged to virtually attend the Planning Commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday, June 3rd at 7:00 p.m. A final decision on the development application is anticipated by the City Council on Monday, June 15th.
Note: The City of Auburn Hills will be utilizing the video/audio conferencing platform Microsoft Teams for the Planning Commission meeting. This virtual meeting format is being employed per the Governor’s Executive Order 2020-75, which is designed to limit in-person contact and public gatherings to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and protect public health.
