ACO Hardware at 3271 South Blvd. at Squirrel, is currently having a “Total Inventory Blowout.” Everything in the store is being sold for 10% up to 40% off original prices and red or green tag items are an additional 10% off. Generally, that would indicate that the store is going out of business. Well, in a way it is, however, what is going to happen is that the ACO Hardware is going to become an Ace Hardware.
ACO Hardware has been a Michigan chain founded in 1946 and headquartered in Farmington Hills. The hardware retailer has joined Ace Hardware, the country’s largest hardware cooperative. The transition will occur over approximately six months.
So, don’t be alarmed that ACO is leaving Auburn Hills, be glad that the City is retaining a hardware business at a long standing location. And, while you’re at it, get in there to get some big time hardware savings.
