Splash Pad at Riverside Park
Located within the beautiful Riverside Park, the Splash Pad offers a refreshing and fun water play experience for all ages! The Splash Pad opens every year on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and operates through Labor Day.
The Splash Pad is activated by a red ground-mounted activation button, which can be easily pressed with a bare foot. The fountains are timed and will automatically shut off after a few minutes. The fountains will restart when the button is pressed again.
For the safety and enjoyment of all visitors, please take note of the following rules and regulations while using the Splash Pad:
- Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- All persons using the splash pad do so at their own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty.
- Persons who have contagious disease, persons who have had diarrhea within the last two weeks, persons with nausea, persons with skin or eye irritations or infections, persons with respiratory infections, persons with open lesions, wounds or cuts are all prohibited from the splash pad. Family appropriate swim attire is required and water shoes are highly recommended. Street shoes are not allowed.
- Swim diapers are required for all children not toilet trained.
- Change diapers only in the restroom. Hands must be washed after use of restrooms and/or changing diapers.
- Chairs and strollers are allowed on the plaza and on the outside perimeter of the splash pad, NOT in the water.
- Food, candy, gum, and beverages are allowed in designated areas only (no glass containers or breakable objects are permitted on the splash pad).
- Radios or other acoustical devices are only permitted when used in conjunction with personal headsets. Amplified sound is restricted.
- Tables within the splash pad area are for general use and are first come, first served.
At the first sign of thunder and/or lightning, please vacate the splash pad and proceed to your vehicles or to the Riverside Park restroom facility. - The splash pad may be closed down at any time for maintenance or weather conditions.
- Be aware – areas may be slippery when wet.
- Directions of Recreation staff members and/or Park attendant at the splash pad must be followed at all times.
- All park rules apply.
The following activities and items are NOT Permitted in the splash pad area:
- NO drinking splash pad water, spitting, or spouting of water from the mouth.
- NO running, rough play, or profanity.
- NO inflatable pool toys, water guns, water balloons, athletic or recreational equipment.
- NO soaps, detergents, and shampoos.
- NO intentionally covering drains.NO animals, except for service dogs.
- NO changing diapers.
- NO skateboards, skates, razors, rollerblades, scooters, bicycles, or similar recreation equipment in the splash pad area.
