Mayor and City Council

Auburn Hills is managed under the Council/Manager form of government, with Tom Tanghe continuing in the position of City Manager. The Mayoral role is to serve as the executive officer of the city and the official head of the city for ceremonial purposes, as well as purposes of military law and the service of legal process upon the city. The Mayor presides at all City Council meetings but speaks and votes in such meetings as any other member of the Council.
