On January 1, 2017, the City of Auburn Hills implemented the “Do Not Knock” ordinance (#16-878), allowing residents to add their addresses to a list that restricts certain vendors, peddlers, and solicitors from door-to-door sales at their homes. This list is provided to door-to-door salespeople when they apply for a permit.

The City does not process passport applications. For information on how and where to apply or renew a passport, visit the U.S. Department of State website.
The City does not maintain vital records. To obtain a copy of a birth or death certificate, please contact the Vital Records Division of the County where the birth/death occurred. Visit the Oakland County Vital Records webpage.
You can register to vote by mail, at the City Clerk's Office, County Clerk's Office, or any Secretary of State branch office. For more voter registration information, visit www.Michigan.gov/vote.
