Safety

This section is dedicated to providing you with important resources, tips, and programs that help maintain the safety of our community. We encourage you to explore the following topics to learn more about how we work together to create a safer Auburn Hills.

Community Policing Zones

The Auburn Hills Police Department is committed to staying connected with the community. Every Road Patrol Officer selects their neighborhood community policing zone at the beginning of their shift pick rotation. Geographically the city is split up into six (6) zones. Two (2) day shift and two (2) night shift officers are available for each zone to ensure citizens can reach an officer.

Fire Prevention

The Fire Prevention Bureau (FPB) consists of three highly trained fire inspectors responsible for preventing fires and emergencies by ensuring that all buildings and areas in Auburn Hills comply with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) guidelines.

Safe City

The City of Auburn Hills Safe City program is a comprehensive public safety and private sector partnership to ensure that all businesses, churches, and schools are best prepared to respond to an emergency incident. The 4-step program will provide your staff with the training necessary to respond to large-scale emergency situations and will provide the Auburn Hills Police and Fire Departments the information necessary to tailor our emergency response to your location.
