Fatal Crash Investigation (Southbound I-75/ Joslyn Road)
Auburn Hills, MI—November 14, 2022— On Monday, November 14, 2022, at 4:00 am, personnel from the Auburn Hills Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to a Ford Mustang on fire after crashing on the exit ramp from Southbound I-75 to Southbound Joslyn Road.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle involved is believed to have been stolen out of Genesee County. The driver and sole occupant of the 2022 Mustang was pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, the male driver has not been identified. Investigators are working with the Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office to identify the driver.
This crash is currently being investigated by the Southeast Oakland County Crash Investigation Team (SOCCIT). SOCCIT consists of crash investigators from Auburn Hills, Bloomfield Twp., Troy, Bloomfield Hills, Birmingham, and Clawson.
