City of Auburn Hills Recognizes Ratification of the 19th Amendment

The City of Auburn Hills has partnered with Oakland County in honoring and celebrating the centennial milestone of the passage of the 19th Amendment which guaranteed and protected women's constitutional right to vote. 

Auburn Hills city council adopted the resolution on Monday, June 3, 2019, and will be joining the county and surrounding communities in flying the 19th Amendment Suffragette Victory Flag which celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. The City will fly the flag from June 10 - 14, 2019 commemorating the State of Michigan ratifying the 19th Amendment, and again from August 24 - 28, 2020 to commemorate the ratification of the 19th Amendment nationally.
