May 13, 2013 – The City of Auburn Hills will transform its Downtown to kick-off summer with an exciting two days of fun during Summerfest 2013. The event takes place Friday, June 21st – Saturday June 22nd at the corner of Squirrel and Auburn Roads and will host an array of attractions for all ages to enjoy.
Popular attractions include the sights and smells of the much-anticipated BBQ Cook-Off, shopping at the Arts & Crafts Fair, ice cream scooped by the Mayor and City Council and a Classic Car Show by the river. The event is family-friendly with live music performances and a Kidz Korner activity area that includes carnival games, inflatable obstacle courses and slides, face painting and much more. Auburn Hills Mayor James McDonald says that two full days are needed to take in all the activities Summerfest 2013 has to offer.
“The City takes pride in offering Summerfest each year as an opportunity for families, businesses and the larger community to come together and actively participate in a variety of fun for all ages in the growing Downtown area,” acknowledges Mayor McDonald. “Events like these let people become better acquainted with the strong civic pride that makes Auburn Hills a great place to live and work.”
