Auburn Hills, MI—May 9, 2016—The City of Auburn Hills, a dynamic community committed to innovation and growth, is seeking two members for the Tax Incentive Review Committee (TIRC). The TIRC was established to review each application for abated taxes and make recommendations to City Council for action. It is composed of one member of the City Council and four residents of Auburn Hills who are appointed by the Mayor with the agreement of Council. Meetings are held on the first Monday of each month.
Consider spending a few hours each month evaluating matters that come before the TIRC for their approval or for their recommendation to the City Council. More information about the Tax Incentive process can be found at www.auburnhills.org (Navigate to the Assessing Department page then click on Tax Incentive Information.)
“We are so appreciative of our citizens who choose to serve on our boards and commissions. Their input and ideas are invaluable to the process and their diverse experience and knowledge has directly contributed to the positive growth in our community,” said Mayor Kevin McDaniel.
In addition to the TIRC vacancies, several other of our Boards and Commissions are seeking new members as well.
