Annual Hazardous Waste & Electronics Recycling Saturday, May 18th
Residents can recycle electronics, batteries and dispose of hazardous waste free of charge

Auburn Hills, MI - May 6, 2013 - The City of Auburn Hills announces its annual Household Hazardous Waste Day and Electronic Recycling Program to take place Saturday May 18th from 9 am-2 pm at 2069 N Opdyke Rd north of Pontiac Rd (next to the old Showcase Cinema).
The program (now in its third year) allows residents to drop off batteries and other unwanted electronic devices for recycling as well as hazardous chemicals that can't be put in the regular trash. Those who want to drop off materials must show proof of residency.
Items to consider bringing include bug sprays, furniture polishes, pesticides, motor oils, gasoline, oil-based paints, paint thinner, etc.
Items NOT allowed include: commercially-generated wastes, radioactive waste, explosives/ammunition, medical waste (needles, syringes).
