Volunteeers Needed!
Michigan College Application Week

AH UCAN is pleased to announce Avondale High School and Avondale Academy are participating in Michigan College Application Week, Nov 3-7, 2014. The goal of Michigan College Application Week is to provide every graduating high school senior the opportunity to apply to college with a particular focus on helping first-generation college going students, low-income students, and students who may not otherwise apply to college.

We need your help securing volunteers to help students fill out applications. No experience is required. Our goal is to have all 280 seniors to complete at least (1) college application during the week and need adult volunteers to help the process run smoothly.  Volunteers can greet and sign-in students, assist students with the completion of online or paper college applications, or distribute information about financial aid opportunities. As a member of our Leadership Team, you understand the importance of this event and the importance of supporting Avondale Schools as they work to improve college attendance. If everyone on our team volunteered 1-2 people, we'd meet our needs.

We will be hosting our events at the following high schools on (DATE(S) AND TIME(S)): • Avondale High School:– Nov 3, 5, 6, 7: 7:22 am-11 am and 11 am-2:22 pm. • Avondale Academy:– Nov 3, 5, 6: 9:35 am-10:35 am
