As part of several construction projects this year on the Oakland University Campus, Library Drive (located within the OU campus) is being extended south of campus to intersect with Squirrel Road at the Cross Creek Intersection. Please see the attached sketch for intersection detail. This new intersection will increase the campus ingress/egress points from two to three on Squirrel Road. The Library Drive extension will improve traffic flow within the campus and more evenly distribute traffic volumes on Squirrel Road during peak inbound and outbound time periods.

Beginning today, Oakland University’s contractor, Site Development, Inc., will begin construction to connect the new Library Drive extension to Squirrel Road. During construction, northbound Squirrel at Cross Creek will be reduced to one lane of traffic. Connection construction is expected to be completed by August 28th. OHM will have staff onsite while work is performed.
