Q - Does the City handle Garbage/Trash Collection?
A - No.  Each resident must contract for refuse removal through a private trash hauler.  See the Main Page of our website for a list of licensed contractors.
 
Q - Does the City have a Recycling program?
A - No.  Contact your Trash Hauler regarding curbside pickup.  Also, earth911.org has some good information about where you can recycle many items.
 
Q - Does the City sponsor a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day?
A - Yes.  Each spring (in May), the City sponsors a Spring Cleanup and Household Hazardous Waste Dropoff Day.  Information is published in the City's quarterly newsletter, The Auburn Hills Review, and also sent out with your Utility Bill.
 
Q - Does the City have a Landfill?
A - No.  The landfills located in or near the City of Auburn Hills are privately owned and operated.  You can contact them at:

Street Lighting & Traffic Lights

Q - Does the City maintain the Street Lights?

A - Yes - some of them.  Please send us an email and completely identify the location of the street light as well as the problem with it, so that we can look into the problem and either repair it or submit a request to DTE to repair their lights.

Q - Does the City maintain traffic signals?

A - No, the Road Commission for Oakland County maintains all traffic signals within the City.
