Local Hotel Robbed

 

Auburn Hills officers are investigating a robbery that occurred at the Wingate Hotel, located at 2200 Featherstone, on today’s date at 8:40am.   A suspect jumped the counter and took cash out of the cash register while the clerk was away from the front desk.  The suspect fled the hotel when the clerk returned.  The suspect did not produce any weapons and the clerk was not injured.

 

The suspect is described as a dark skinned black male, approximately 35 years old and a medium build.  The suspect was wearing a red fleece jacket, dark pants, and dark sun glasses.  The suspect was last seen headed west from the hotel.

 

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office provided a K-9 unit to track the suspect.  At this time the suspect has not been located.  Anyone with information about this incident should contact the Auburn Hills police at 248-370-9444.
