SUSPECT IN ABDUCTION CASE IS ARRAIGNED

The suspect who allegedly abducted two high school seniors from Auburn Hills and later dropped them off in Chattanooga Tennessee has been formerly charged.  Paul Marquis Samples, 17 years old, of Rochester Hills was charged with two counts of kidnapping and one count of car jacking.  All three counts carry a maximum penalty of life in prison. Judge Carniack of 52/3 District Court set bond at $250,000.  Samples did not post bond and he was returned to the Oakland County jail.

Samples first abducted an 18 year old female who was a close friend to his ex-girlfriend on 9/17/05.  Samples forced the 18 year old, a Rochester Hills resident, to drive to his ex-girlfriend’s house in Auburn Hills.  The 18 year old was forced to call the 17 year old ex-girl friend and convince her to come outside.  Once outside, the ex-girlfriend was forced into the vehicle at also.

Reportedly, the suspect repeatedly threatened the two females with a knife.  The group traveled to Tennessee where the Samples released the two females at the Chattanooga airport on 9/18/05.  The two females returned to Michigan on 9/18/05.  Samples turned himself into the Oakland County jail on 9/20/2005.
