Snowmobile Safety Classes
Snowmobile Safety
Be ready for safe snowmobiling this winter.  Class is open to students ages 12 and up who wish to learn safe snowmobile operation, but is required for students ages 12-16 who want to operate a snowmobile with out direct adult supervision.  Must attend both classes and pass a written test to receive certification.  Taught by certified instructors from Snomads Snofari Club.
Location: Community Center Seyburn Room

ORV Safety Course - New!
Open to persons of all ages, but is required for students ages 12-17 who wish to operate ORV (ATV’s, motor cycles, or related 2-wheel, 3-wheel or 4-wheel vehicles) without direct adult supervision.  To earn your certificate, you must attend seven hours of instruction, pass a written exam and be 12 years of age by April 1, 2009.   Pre-registration is required.

Boater's Safety Course
This course includes: basic boating fundamentals; boat maintenance; personal watercraft and boat operation; the legal requirements of boating; personal preparedness and survival skills needed in emergency situations.  Course is highly recommended for all ages. Instruction provided by the Oakland County Sheriff's Department Marine Division. Persons born after December 31, 1978 are required by law to have in their possession a valid Boating Safety Certificate while operating a Personal Watercraft on State of Michigan Waterways.

All About Austria - New!
Mr. Mike and his wife Carol traveled to Salzburg, Austria to visit their grandchildren.  Come learn about Austria as Mr. Mike shares his travel.  Light refreshments provided.  All Ages

Family Fun!
Play table tennis, floor games, soccer, basketball and more during Family Fun at the Community Center gym.

CPR/First Aid Classes
Learn valuable life saving skills from the Auburn Hills Fire Department by taking a CPR or First Aid course.  Courses are three/four hours in length and include American Heart Association certification.  All classes are held in the Public Safety Community room in the Civic Center Park Complex.  Must have a CPR card prior to enrolling in Basic First Aid.  Limited to 10 participants.  Class fees: $5 –resident, $30 – non-residents.  Registration required.  All classes held from 9AM-12PM.

Open Swim
Residents with a Community Center Card SWIM FREE!  Open Swim will be held at the Avondale High School Pool, 2800 Waukegan.  $4 per person non-resident.  Under 14 must be accompanied by an adult, under 6 must be accompanied by an adult in the pool.
 
 
Oakland County Park Permit
Auburn Hills is now selling the annual Oakland County Parks Permit at the Community Center.
