Get locked in and stay up all night at the Community Center! Brought to you by the Auburn Hills Teen Council. We will have snacks, movies, music, basketball, BUBBLE SOCCER, ping pong, billiards, shuffleboard, a photo booth, and much more! Registration is required by February 9th, 2018. Open to teens ages 14-18 in grades 9-12. Adult volunteers needed.

ROCK the PROM!
Professionally cleaned, gently used prom dresses will be distributed for FREE to high school teens. The cost of attending prom is crazy high these days.  Gowns can cost between $100 - $400!   Because going to prom is such a special event for every high school student, and we all want everyone to go, AH Teen Council has partnered with ROCKit (Rochester Outreach and Charity for Kids) again this year who will collect, clean, and then provide a dress to every girl at ROCK the PROM! 

Teens will find over 500 gowns sizes 0 – 20 on display along with free shoes, shawls, purses and jewelry to choose from.  ROCK the PROM is a great opportunity to find the perfect gown with your friends. Appointments are not required, however, you can RSVP to www.rockitrochester.org, or 248-710-8002.  Please leave your name & phone number.  If you are on our RSVP list, you will go to the front of the line to choose your dress!  The event is open to all students in Northern Oakland County.  Please bring your High School ID.

BASKETBALL LEAGUES  
Auburn Hills Parks & Recreation & Avondale Basketball are partnering again to present this instructional basketball league that focuses on fundamentals, sportsmanship, teamwork, equal playing time and fun.  Boys and girls will develop their basketball skills through practices and weekly games.  Each team will have one practice a week, Grades 1st-4th will practice on Monday or Wednesday.  Grades 5th-8th will practice on Saturdays, the hour prior to their game.  All games will be played Saturdays. The first two weeks will focus on player skill development and the formation of balanced, competitive teams.  Volunteer coaches are needed!

NFL YOUTH FLAG FOOTBALL – EXPERIENCE THE DIFFERENCE
Grades Pre K – 8th • Presented by: National Flag Football
Join the largest youth flag football organization in the country. This is a 5 vs. 5, non-contact, recreational, co-ed format. Teams are limited to 10 players to maximize playing time. This is an exceptional program for first time players who want to learn the fundamentals of football. This is also a wonderful opportunity for players who may want to continue to enhance their skills before taking the next leap into tackle football. Games are played at Rochester Adams High School on Sunday afternoons. Practices take place one hour prior to game time each week to ensure a convenient and fun experience for all. Participates will receive a NFL reversible jersey, flag belt, and individual participation award. Games are officiated by MHSAA referees. The season begins mid-April and runs through the end of June. There are no try-outs! Everyone participates! Children are placed on teams according to their school and grade to ensure classmates are playing together. Auburn Hills Parks & Recreation is partnering with Rochester Soccer Club for a fun soccer season!  League starts on Wednesday April 11th with skills and drills to help form fair and balanced teams. Weekday practices on Wednesday and Saturday games starting April 28th. Volunteer coaches needed.

DANCE CLASSES (Ages 3-7)
Classes are structured to educate students on the language of dance, counting music, cognitive skills and body placement and start a love for dance. Note: Preschool and Ballet wear pink leather ballet slippers for girls, black leather ballet slippers for boys. Jazz wear tan jazz oxfords or slip-on jazz boots. All classes wear leotards and tights (any color), jazz pants or dance leggings (any color). No street clothes, loose fitting clothing, or jewelry.

Children in grades 1-8 (2017/2018 school year) can experience the great outdoors with a variety of age-appropriate recreational activities designed to create a lifetime of memories. Activities will include crafts, sports, cooperative games, gym games, library visits, nature and more! Camp T-shirt provided.  Bring a water bottle and nut-free snack (non-refrigerated) each day. This program helps prepare children ages 4 & 5 for the upcoming school year by involving them in group activities including cooperative games, physical fitness, arts & craft projects, sports, snack time and more!
