Firefighter - Paramedic

DESCRIPTION:  Protects life and property by performing fire fighting, emergency medical services at the level of a licensed paramedic, hazardous materials and fire prevention duties.  Maintains fire equipment, apparatus and facilities.  

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED equivalent, Must be 21 years of age or older at time of employment, Must possess or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid State driver's license without record of suspension or revocation, No felony convictions of disqualifying criminal history, Must be able to speak, read and write the English language, Prefer Two (2) years’ experience as a licensed firefighter and paramedic, Completion of MFFTC Firefighter II, Hazardous Materials Operations, Drivers Certification Training, Incident Command System, Must possess Michigan Department of Public Health Paramedic License and Must meet City residency requirement within 90 days. 

Compensation plan includes employer funded 401(k), vacation, comprehensive medical and retirement health savings plan.  Recruiting for a start date in January 2017. EOE

Building Supervisor - Community Center
Employment Type:Part-Time (10-12 hours per week)
Salary:$11.00 per hour

DESCRIPTION:Supervises the use of the Community Center on a given shift, and assists in the planning, organizing, and implementation of community recreation programs for seniors, adults, and youth, including cultural arts, physical activities, special interest classes and summer programs.

QUALIFICATIONS: The candidate must be experienced, friendly, flexible, self motivated and able to work independently.

Management Assistant Internship
Employment Type:
  Part-Time (20-25 hours/week)
Salary:  $12.00 per hour

DESCRIPTION:  To provide the student with a broad introduction to management and to the function and role of the City Manager’s office in a complex municipal organization. The successful candidate will report to and work directly for the City Manager and Assistant City Manager.  The position offers a variety of work activities including but not limited to: budgeting, events management, community relations and business recruitment and retention activities, and data gathering and analysis.  No two days will be alike.  The work schedule is flexible to work around class schedules.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Applicants shall be current students in good standing at undergraduate or graduate level. Recent graduates seeking experience will also be considered, but must recognize the importance of the internship’s one-year duration. They shall be enrolled in or have completed a course of study in Public Administration, Business Management, Sociology, or Finance.  Undergraduates must have achieved a minimum of junior status and have completed coursework in the major. A student with above average skill in the use of Excel is preferred. Extensive interaction with both internal and external customers can be expected and thus, excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Custodian - Community Center 
Employment Type: Part-Time (15-20 hours/week)
Salary: $11.00 per hour

DESCRIPTION: Must be able to perform a variety of highly detailed cleaning of offices, restrooms, common areas and community room. Hours are 4:00 p.m. - 10:00 pm. Thursday, Friday, Saturday with an occasional Sunday.

QUALIFICATIONS: The candidate must be experienced, friendly, flexible, self motivated, and able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Fieldstone Golf Club is seeking individuals to fill the following positions immediately. Hours are very flexible!

Outside Golf Services and Golf Shop Staff  - Keep facility and/or golf service areas clean, organized and presentable at all times (restrooms, entrance ways, bag drop area, exterior walkways, storage areas, employee breakroom, employee restroom, golf car wash area, patio, veranda and golf car storage facility); maintains effective working relations with customers, merchants and employees; ppromotes and facilitates golf play and assists in the marketing of the facility.

Junior Assistant Golf Course Manager -
Performs a variety of professional and administrative assignments in planning, developing, scheduling, directing and implementing successful golf programs in all aspects necessary in operating a highly ranked golf course, clubhouse and practice facility.  Areas include but are not limited to all administration aspects, golf shop merchandising, marketing programs, promotions, golf programs and personnel services.
