Dennis Dearing found out on February 27, 1994 that he and his wife were expecting their first baby.  Later that night he was called to duty for a house fire.  He left his house after giving his wife a hug and kiss good-bye.  Minutes later he was searching through a house on the first floor, with a fire below in the basement.  Dennis tragically made the ultimate sacrifice that night after falling through the floor.  Sadly, the fire was determined to be intentionally set by one of the residents of the house.  That person continues to serve time in jail to this day.
