The City Clerk’s Office prides itself in providing friendly, professional public service and maintaining the integrity of the public records of the City of Auburn Hills. We are pleased to offer greater and more efficient access to public services and information on our new web site and will continue to identify community needs and enhance our electronic services responsively.
The responsibilities of and services provided by the Clerk’s Office vary widely. Our office provides administrative and clerical support to the City Council, and recently developed and implemented the use of electronic agenda packets. The Clerk’s Office prepares the agendas, and records and transcribes the minutes for the Council, and the various other boards and commissions of the City. This office also administers federal, state and local elections and maintains the records of all registered voters in the City.
In addition and among its many other duties, this office is responsible for the dissemination and preservation of official City records, Freedom of Information Act responses and issuance of certain required licenses and permits, including Liquor, Trash Hauler, Public Recreation Hall and Used Car Lot Licenses.
