Samantha has been with the City of Auburn Hills since 2014. As the Director of Authorities for the City of Auburn Hills, she assists with day-to-day operations and special projects for Auburn Hills’ three economic development authorities: the Tax Increment Finance Authority, Brownfield Redevelopment Authority, and Downtown Development Authority.
Samantha is a graduate of Oakland University. She holds Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a concentration in Criminal Justice and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Wayne State University where she served as Student Vice President of Pi Alpha Alpha Honor Society.
Samantha focused her first year with Auburn Hills on reestablishing and implementing the Downtown Development Authority. She created the fifteen-year plan TIF and Development Plan for the Auburn Hills DDA, which is ultimately expected to spur $165 million in private investment and collect $800 million in tax increment revenue to reinvest in Downtown Auburn Hills’ infrastructure, streetscape, events, and citizens.
Samantha currently serves on the Auburn Hills Boys and Girls Club Advisory Council, Michigan Economic Developers Association Emerging Leaders Committee, she is a member of the Auburn Hills Morning Optimists Club and the current Chairperson of the Auburn Hills Chamber of Commerce Community Council. She has a passion for giving back and engaging communities to inspire generations well into the future.
